the challenge to be a beauty seeker

Everything beautiful begins with God.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

The challenge over at (in)courage from Jennifer at Studio JRU this month is to be a beauty seeker:

"It doesn’t take long, just take a moment to look around. I am sure you already see something. Something beautiful made by Him. I challenge you today, this week, this month, to be a beauty seeker.Look around and take notice of all the beautiful things that began with Him. Create a post, use words or images, and link up to share with us your beauty finds. This is a fun way for the entire (in)courage community to share together, not just those doing a review post this month."

It is easy to get caught up in what is "important" in our lives and loose sight of what is right in front of us.  This last week has found me slowing down and being still as I recover from shoulder surgery.  It is hard to do much when you only have full use of one arm (try putting deodorant on with one hand) and even harder to find beauty in the time.

In this time of healing here are a few of the beautiful things I have been reminded of:

summer sunsets move slower

the leaves outside my window are never still

flowers reflecting love smell like God's presence in the still of the night.

Each of these things are within feet of the recliner that has been my home the last week.  I pray that as I leave this time and place of healing I remember to seek beauty always.  For there I will find God.

  1. "to seek beauty always...for there I will find God" wonderful words. Hope you recover quickly and remain a beauty seeker for it's there for the finding everyday.
