Our hands have the power
To help or hurt
To reach out or to push away
To hold on or to throw out
To make something sacred or profane
We say more with hands
Than we do with our mouths
Each is different
Yet all are beautiful
When used to create rather than destroy
Lord open my hands
That they may be yours
As I reach toward those
You place in my path
May they bless all they touch
